No, it’s not ‘A Comedy of Errors,’ but Theater Huntsville’s latest production is sure to be a laugh

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Theater’s latest production will give a taste of what you’re used to don’t see in the theater world – blunders and blunders during rehearsal and beyond.

Michael Frayn’s “Noise Off” is a play within a play that follows a traveling theater group’s production of “Nothing On” through dress rehearsal, opening night, and a performance near the end of the production. It starts with blurry lines and missed cues, evolving into friction between the cast towards the end of production. And yes, sardines will fly.

Jake Barrow directs the Huntsville Theater production, assisted by Mari Adams. Cast includes Lydia Palmes, Art Walthall, Phil Parker, Haley Loveday, Gena Rawdon, Charlie Rogers, Jessica Alexander, Michale Bradley and Chance Novalis.

Cassie Robinson is the stage manager, Mirji Campolongo is the technical director, Dex Edwards designed the stages and Gine Mallonee designed the costumes.

Tickets are on sale now for the show online, at the Huntsville Theater Box Office in Lowe Mill Second Floor South or by calling (256) 536-0807. The ticket office is open Wednesday to Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. Tickets are $22 for adults and $20 for seniors, students and active duty military.
