After its very first drive-in techno music festival La Fréquence earlier this year, La Ronde is doubling down on its techno music lineup with more than 18 evenings on Fridays (September 10, 17 and 24).
They call the event ‘Techno Evenings’.
From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., ticket holders ($ 10 for season passes and $ 20 for those without) will have access to rides and music, whether or not people are able to wave. glow sticks as they travel at high speed speeds on rides like the Goliath or the Vampire? We don’t know, but the music is playing throughout the park on the speakers.
The full list of rides open for the “party” is as follows:
- Bumper cars
- City tour
- Round Disco
- Ultimate flight
- Sling Shot (additional charge)
The event seems to be an extension of the mini festival La Fréquence which saw seven DJs, VJs and Montreal hip-hop artists take the stage on Île Sainte-Hélène; it looks like the event is also happening just in time, as their previously promised late-summer fireworks display has been canceled.
Social media posts showing how people felt about the experience were few and far between, but those who did say it was absolutely perfect for them.
Full details on how to get tickets, how to get to La Ronde Amusement Park, and more can be found on the event page of La Ronde’s website for Techno Evenings.
