jurassic park Star Laura Dern says she and the other legacy cast members had an amazing time filming Jurassic World: Dominion. Steven Spielberg’s 1993 film, based on Michael Crichton’s 1990 novel of the same name, was a huge hit upon release and has become a classic in the sci-fi genre. It spawned two initial sequels before the series rebooted in 2015 Jurassic World, and Domination, the third installment of the new sequence, is slated for a theatrical release on June 10, 2022.

The Jurassic World the films are named after an actual new dinosaur amusement park built on the same island as the original, although at the start of the series the successor has been running smoothly for quite some time. Of course, things go horribly wrong, and the sequel to 2018 Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ends with shots of a few dinosaurs roaming free just outside urban areas. The new film, which sees Colin Trevorrow return as director after passing on JA Bayona’s previous sequel, features an ensemble cast that brings back the main characters from the original film, including Dern’s Dr Ellie Sattler, Dr Alan Grant. by Sam Neill and Jeff Dr. Ian Malcolm from Goldblum.

She cites the reunion with her former co-stars as a special joy and expresses her gratitude for being able to join a series that has such a strong environmental message at its heart. It is, says Dern, thanks to the novel that started it all:

Well i am so excited. We had an amazing time together and together again. I feel really excited and privileged to be a part of something that basically, you know, was an environmental message thanks to Michael Crichton a long time ago.

While Goldblum’s Malcolm played a cameo role in Fallen kingdom, the returning characters should take a more involved role in the story of Domination, joining what looks like quite the whole. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, the main characters of the Jurassic World trilogy, while young Fallen kingdom stars Isabella Sermon and Justice Smith are also featured in the sequel. Additionally, a number of new characters are expected to be introduced, bringing actors like Mamoudou Athie, Scott Haze, and Dichen Lachman to the franchise.

Fans of the original jurassic park Surely are delighted to hear that the stars of the film have enjoyed their comeback, and while that doesn’t always translate into reclaiming the onscreen magic, it certainly helps. The previous film ends with Goldblum declaring that humans and dinosaurs must now learn to coexist, and Trevorrow promised Jurassic World: Dominion will answer this question – with a nice company no. Thanks to this tease, viewers were already expecting a great city rampage in the next episode, and now Dern is reminding fans that they should be prepared to be touched by nostalgia as well.
