HAWKEYE is now billed as a “comedy series” for the rewards campaign; Could season 2 happen?

Hawk Eye was originally promoted as a limited series on Disney+, but based on Marvel Studios’ “For Your Consideration” campaign, that might have changed. Does this mean we will finally get season 2?

Hawk Eye was a hit with fans when it arrived on Disney+ last year, and there was immediate speculation about when and where we might see another team-up between Clint Barton and Kate Bishop. The show was way too fun to be unique, but the fact that it was billed as a limited series by Marvel Studios indicated that we were getting six episodes and nothing more.

Well, something seems to have changed as the series’ For Your Consideration campaign now describes it as a comedy series. This means that it will not compete in the limited series category, and this strength be a strong indication that there are tentative plans for a Season 2.

It would be quite confusing not to do anything else with Clint and Kate, especially since the Hawk Eye the finale saw them become their own team. The Avenger seemed ready to train his protege after bringing her home for the holidays, and there were enough dangling plot threads that it wouldn’t be difficult to continue this story (and hopefully, to bring back Jack Duquesne).

Marvel Studios has yet to announce its Phase 4 slate, and with Disney+, we usually get release date announcements when the first trailers drop. This has been the case with shows like Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk: Lawyeranyway, but i’m crossing my fingers Hawk Eye Season 2 news is coming.

“Marvel Studios is sledding again with Hawkeye”, we said in our opinion from the show last year. “[It’s] a must-have Christmas squad bringing holiday cheer to the MCU with high-level storytelling delivered Mighty Marvel-style and a bold and shiny new hero in Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop.

Would you like more Hawk Eye Marvel Studios action?
