Glastonbury live: Billie Eilish set, songs and BBC stream

Phoebe Bridgers says f*** the Supreme Court at Glastonbury 2022

The 2022 Glastonbury Festival is underway, with music fans from around the world flocking to Worthy Farm in Somerset, England.

This year’s festival is headlined by Gen-Z pop star Billie Eilish, Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney and American rapper Kendrick Lamar, with Diana Ross taking the traditional Legends slot.

McCartney is playing a pre-festival gig in Somerset tonight, with tickets for the 800-seat show selling out in less than an hour.

On The Other Stage, rock band The Libertines opened the proceedings after a powerful on-screen speech by Ukrainian President Zelensky.

Wolf Alice, after worrying fans by announcing that their flight from Los Angeles had been cancelled, managed to travel to the UK to perform her set on the Pyramid stage this afternoon.

Among the American contingent, a sense of gloom hangs over the Supreme Court’s devastating Roe vs. Wade decision. Artists like Phoebe Bridgers and British rock band IDLES are among the acts to condemn the decision so far.

Billie Eilish blows the whole Glastonbury audience

I bet the floor at Worthy Farm was shaking at the time – Billie managed to bounce almost all of her Glastonbury audience to a full song. Then to the dark and strange synth bloops of “ilomilo”.

What are those black marks on Billie Eilish’s legs?

Many of you are curious about what, yes, looks a bit like “leg tattoos” on Billie Eilish’s legs. In fact, it looks like kinesiology therapy tape (KT), which can be used to try to prevent and treat shin splints.

Sir Paul McCartney performed to an intimate audience of 800 in Frome, Somerset, on Friday June 24, ahead of his flagship show at Glastonbury.

The concert at the Cheese and Grain entertainment venue sold out less than an hour after tickets were released 24 hours before the show.

McCartney will become Glastonbury Festival’s oldest solo headliner when he takes the stage this weekend, which marks exactly one week after his 80th birthday.

The lucky few who managed to secure a spot lined up behind barriers while an entourage of locals who missed the chance waited in hopes of catching a glimpse of the former Beatle.

Self-proclaimed superfan Jane Lamb stood in front of the room holding a Beatles album she made when she was eight in hopes that McCartney would come out and sign it after her show.

The 68-year-old from Frome said: “It’s one of four albums I made between the ages of eight and 10. Hopefully if I don’t see it I’ll at least have this version from him. I couldn’t get tickets, I was close.
