Former Governor John Kasich and comedian Jordan Klepper to launch podcast in early 2022

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Former Ohio Governor John Kasich and former “The Daily Show” correspondent Jordan Klepper are teaming up for a new weekly podcast starting in early 2022.

In “Kasich & Klepper,” the Republican who twice ran for his party’s nomination for president and the comedian who began his career with The Second City in Chicago “will share interests and seek out ground for success. understanding on a multitude of topics – all with a fun relationship. and a flurry of jokes at the expense of each other ”, according to one announcement by Acast, the podcasting company behind the project. The show will feature famous guests and cover topics beyond politics.

“If you are looking for more political discussions, this podcast may not be for you,” Kasich said in a press release. “Instead, this series will spark discussions about life and pop culture with some of our country’s most interesting voices. Our aim is to provide a unique perspective on the important issues we all face – and because we don’t take ourselves too seriously, we’ll give listeners something to think about and maybe laugh at.

Klepper added, “In these fractured times, it takes a Herculean effort – or a podcast – to get contrasting perspectives to engage. While Governor Kasich may have different political beliefs and is 300 years older than me, I can’t wait to find that elusive middle ground that has been deemed extinct by modern historians. Plus, I look forward to speaking with inspiring guests, who will hopefully challenge our assumptions and ultimately confirm that of the two hosts, I am the top interviewer.

Kasich, of course, is a seasoned media professional. He hosted his own show on Fox News after serving on Congress and contributing to CNN since 2019. “Kasich & Klepper” will be available on all podcast platforms with new episodes released every Thursday.
