Bowser’s Challenge ride comes to Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood – Redlands Daily Facts

Get ready to race through Bowser’s Castle in a go-kart-style vehicle as the all-new Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge comes to Super Nintendo World from Universal Studios.

Earlier this year, the Hollywood theme park announced that its Super Nintendo World would officially open in early 2023.

Now the park has revealed details about its latest attraction, which will feature life-size four-seater Mario Kart vehicles and use augmented reality goggles and projection mapping technology alongside oversized sets and a moving track to creating a multi-sensory experience that puts guests inside the beloved Nintendo game.

As part of Team Mario, guests will navigate a variety of courses to compete for the Golden Cup while collecting coins in an effort to defeat Team Bowser. The ride will also recreate several iconic environments from the Mario Kart games so no two races are alike.

Although there is no exact date for the official opening, Universal Studios Hollywood has revealed that the game’s themed land will fully immerse guests in the worlds of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Toad and other characters created by Nintendo. over the past four decades. The area will be filled with bright colors and will include rides, interactive play areas and themed shops and restaurants.

A similar attraction, Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge, opened at Universal Studios Japan in March 2021 where the theme park’s first video game-inspired terrain was launched.
